Chris is a strong believer that ‘prevention is better than cure’, and so likes to make sure patients are involved in all aspects of preventative dental care.
Christopher Elmes
Chris became a director at the practice in March 2018. He is a second-generation dentist, following in the footsteps of both his parents. Chris grew up in Colchester. He took the opportunity to study abroad, where he obtained his dental degree from the University of Debrecen, Hungary in 2011. He then went back to his family dental practice on Mersea Island, near Colchester, where he had been practicing for the last 5 years.
Chris is married to Anne, whom he met whilst studying aboard and who is a doctor at Jersey General Hospital. They have 2 daughters; Lily and Molly.
Chris is a strong believer that ‘prevention is better than cure’, and so likes to make sure patients are involved in all aspects of preventative dental care. Chris is also very happy to see and treat anxious patients; he feels that clear and thorough communication helps to put patients at ease.

Chris considers continued professional development very important, he completed the acclaimed CADE implant year-long course in Manchester in 2016/17.

Christian joined the practice in September 2025. He is a General Dentist with a Special Interest in Restorative and Endodontic Dentistry

Craig is the newest member of the dental team at Indigo Dental Practice joining the practice in February 2022.

Plumb
Gary visits Indigo Dental Practice on Friday mornings every 4-6 weeks. He has completed many orthodontic courses, in the UK and abroad.
